Q & A
Q: Do I really need to take a Stand Up Paddleboard lesson?
A: The answer depends on what your goals are. If you just want to get out on the water and enjoy the sun, then you probably don't have to. However, without a lesson it can be challenging to maneuver correctly as well as paddling straight ahead of you without turning from side to side. Lessons teach you how to avoid injury, execute proper strokes, have proper form, and avoid frustration when conditions can be challenging. Depending on your progress, athletic ability, and goals, 1-2 lessons should be enough to give you a great start. Our instructors are certified by various organizing bodies in order to effectively teach and advocate the sport of SUP.

Q: What lakes do you paddle at and where can I go?
A: Colorado has many open bodies of water to enjoy. We operate all around the Denver Metro Area to ensure you can participate in fun and exciting water sports no matter where you live.
Chatfield Reservoir:
Rentals and Lessons are offered all summer long at Chatfield Reservoir, which is located in the southwest part of Denver Metropolitan. Chatfield is a great location with beautiful scenery and multiple spots to paddle at. Within Chatfield, we operate at the Gravel Pond on the south side of the park. The Gravel Pond is located in the southern part of the park and is reserved only for paddle craft. This is a perfect smaller pond to enjoy very clean water (natural spring) and beautiful views of the foothills.
Barr Lake:
Rentals are offered at Barr Lake early season as the water levels continue to drop through the summer. Barr Lake is a unique location as it allows lake recreation use during late spring/early summer and then is slowly drained as the local farming community uses the water for irrigation. Located in the northern outskirt of the metro area, this is a great location for those near Brighton, Denver, and Thornton. Looking for a long distance paddle? Then, this is the location to go to with it's massive size and beautiful view of the Rocky Mountains.
Planning a trip:
Rent an inflatable paddleboard package to go! Our kit comes with everything you need for a paddle excursion and can be transported in any vehicle. Popular travel destinations include: Lake McConaughy in Nebraska, Lake Tahoe in Nevada, and Bear Lake in Utah.
